Standard vs. Deep Clean: Which Service Do You Need?

Checkers Team

Understanding the difference between a standard and a deep clean is key to booking the right service. We break down what each service includes to help you decide.

Standard vs. Deep Clean: Which Service Do You Need?

"I need my house cleaned"—it sounds simple, but there are different levels of clean. Choosing the right one ensures your expectations are met and you get the best value. Let's compare our two most popular services.

Standard (Recurring) Cleaning

Think of this as your maintenance clean. It's designed to keep your home in great shape on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis. It includes all the essential tasks to maintain a high level of cleanliness.

  • Wiping down countertops and exterior appliances
  • Cleaning sinks, toilets, and showers
  • Dusting all surfaces
  • Vacuuming and mopping all floors
  • General tidying

Deep Cleaning

This is your restorative clean. It's an intensive, top-to-bottom service that tackles the deep grime and dirt that builds up over time. We recommend a deep clean for a first-time service, or once or twice a year.

  • Includes everything in a standard clean, PLUS:
  • Detailed scrubbing of baseboards and trim
  • Cleaning inside the oven and refrigerator (often as add-ons)
  • Washing interior windows and blinds
  • Scrubbing grout and removing soap scum buildup
  • Cleaning under furniture and in other hard-to-reach places
